About the movie...Crazy Stupid Love

The adventure about writing is that we have to write something about we like and have fun with it, and last night I went to see the movie Crazy Stupid Love, and I loved it. A simple story, with plenty of funny lines, but also thoughtful lines delivered not by the main actors, but by supporting young actors, especially the kid who plays Steve Carrell and Julianne Moore's son.

I keep enjoying and realizing how much I can learn from watching a movie, or a show, and even the bad ones, because they can teach how not to be a bad actor. But, in this case, it was a decent, well developed simple story performed by some of the finest actor in Hollywood, like Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, and the always amazing Julianne Moore.

First, you got Steve Carrell, who knows how to deliver a comedy or a dramatic role with high caliber, class and hard work.

Then, there is Ryan Gosling, in my opinion, one of the most talented actors right now in Hollywood. He looks simply amazing, and capable to delivering a funny part mostly with Steve Carrell beside him, and you can see they both had a great time working together as Ryan Gosling said on an interview on the Today Show.

Marisa Tomei and Emma Stone got small parts, but they make their presence noticeable. Maria Tomei, in my opinion, doesn't age and she delivered an excellent English teacher, who is a recovered alcoholic, looking for love, and a one night hanky panky with Steve Carrell...with consequences. and very funny by the end of the movie.

The kid that plays Steve Carrell's son is VE-RY-GOOD. And, the young actress playing the baby sitter is gorgeous, and very well cast for the character which again it was a simple one, but she nailed with charm, hard work and beauty all over.

Finally, oh finally...Julianne Moore, who is a superb actress, and you can't go wrong with Julianne Moore. I can not take my eyes off of her when she is on the screen, and I believe is because that woman knows how to become the character she is playing, and leave Julianne Moore at home. The intensity on her face, whether she is saying something funny or dramatic, makes me stare at her and pay attention, and as an actor, to learn more about how to act, live the character, become the character and enjoy what I am doing.

I had an awesome time watching Crazy Stupid Love, but I have to say something as my closing point. Originally, I went to see The Help, but the show I picked was sold out. I guess I know exactly which movie I am going to see next.
